Tips for tracking macros while working full time.
  1. You need a Lunch Box and Water bottle
    • Buy a lunch box big enough for ALL of your food! THIS LUNCH BOX is one of our favorites, but you find one that you love and will use!
    • You’ll need a Water bottle with straw! Drinking water is one of the easiest things you can do to move forward with your health and wellness goals. Read more about the importance of drinking water HERE.
  2. Meal Prep
    • EVERYONE has time for meal prep. You may have to sacrifice other things or time for it, but it will make the rest of your life run so much smoother, which will make this sacrifice WORTH IT.  Meal prepping takes the guess work out of your equation. You are less stressed when you already have food planned for the week!
      • Make foods you’re excited to eat. This is our specialty here at Stay Fit Mom. Meal Prep Volume 1 and Volume 2 will be extremely helpful with this endeavor!! Use discount code: MPBUNDLE when you purchase both!
      • Batch Cooking Meal Prep is also a great idea. An example of this would me to make two big meals on Sunday and Monday and have leftovers for your other 3 work days.
      • Keeps snacks in your desk for emergency. Some of our favorite snacks are G2G bars also THESE single serve protein powders from Clean Simple Eats can also be great in an emergency! Use discount code: Stayfitmom at checkout for both of these great products.
  3. Skip the treats. Nobody cares. Nobody will notice. There’s no reason to feel guilty about this.
  4. Prioritize sleep. You just can’t do it all. You’ve got to determine what you can let go of so that you are able to get 7 to 9 hours of sleep regularly. If you want more help in this area read THIS post on Sleep Hygiene. Just like prioritizing your nutrition has a domino effect in your life, so does getting adequate rest!
  5. Stay active and MOVE. This can be a challenge if you’re sitting behind a desk for most hours of the day. Go for 10 min walk if work permits. Make up routes around the office. Walk in place! Be strategic in how you’ll still be able to move- be it working out in the early morning before work or afternoon after work and/or sneaking those steps in throughout the day.
