Hi I’m new to this WHOLE30. I’ve been searching on here for recipes and making a weekly shopping list. Are you allowed to have any caffeine? and what do you suggest for a sweet tooth? I appreciate your feedback. I’m a mom of 3 with an 8 week old and need to lose 20 lbs. I plan on starting this journey sunday.
Hi Kelly! You can have caffeine in the form of black coffee and teas that are compliant. Check your ingredient list. I highly recommend purchasing the Whole30 book as it will Make your life so much easier! For the sweet tooth, the goal of whole30 is to curb your sweet tooth and slay your sugar dragon! But… The Stay Fit Mom Homemade Larabar recipe is a great one that you can have in moderation. Good luck to you!!

I am using the macro plan how does that work with whole 30? can you get the carbs needed using whole 30? or are these separate plans?
These are most definitely separate plans! You could do whole30 and macros, however it would be difficult and the beauty of macros is that you can eat all the food groups and still see results.

I came across your blog while researching women’s crossfit programs! To be honest I haven’t workout really in years but did tried crossfit in February for 30 days and really liked it! Both my husband and children do crossfit at a local gym near our home but me ever finding the time just seems impossible:/ I was wondering which of your programs you would recommend doing first it has been a while since I’ve workout? Time and excuses are a big struggle for me with all the responsibilities I have as a mom and wife so I am trying to find something I can do and stay committed to without feeling the “mom guilt”. Any feedback would be great:) I love your blog and find it super encouraging!!!

Hi Melissa! I think it’s wonderful that you found CrossFit and are really enjoying it! If you are wanting to complete a program at home we have a great 31 Day At Home CrossFit Workout Plan (linked below). It can very easily be modified for beginners. Modification options are listed on each workout.

Hello! I love your page! It is so informational and has a lot of great ideas/tips. I am 13 weeks pregnant and have considered incorporating a protein powder into my diet (I just read your 5 favorite protein shakes article and they all look amazing!). Is there a particular kind or brand that you would recommend for pregnancy, with low sugar and additives, but is also easy on the budget?

Hi Kera! Congrats on your little peanut! I used the Optimum Nutrition brand from Costco through my pregnancy and while nursing. However, if you want something a little “cleaner” I would go with the MRM brand. You can find it one Amazon for a decent price.
For affordability we like Gold standard whey from Costco. In terms of good flavor and good product I like 1st form!
