New Workouts Every Wednesday!

This week we challenge you to go to your local High School for your workout.  It’s a fun experience and the whole family can go with you.  My kids love going to the track because they can pretty much run wild and I can see them wherever they go.  If you wait until almost sundown you will usually avoid running into any team practices.

Weekly Workout:  Track Workout

4 Rounds for time of:

  • 400 Meter Run
  • 2 Minute Rest

Record the time it takes you to run each 400 Meters. For example:

Round 1:  1:55

Round 2: 2:01

Round 3: 1:57

Round 4: 1:53

Equipment needed:

  • Timer (We frequently use the MYWOD app and recommend it to our readers.  You can keep track of your workouts, they’ve got How To videos, and of course the app has great timers.)

Modification Options:  Be sure to modify this workout to your ability level if needed.  Your run to rest ratio should be around 1:1.  If your 400 M run takes you 4 mins, adjust your rest time to 4 mins.

Make sure you warm-up and stretch good before this workout.  Here is an idea for a quick warm-up:

2-3 Rounds:

5 Burpees

10 Squats

20 Double Unders
