The summer months are perfect for grilling and while we love traditional burgers, sometimes you just need to mix things up a little bit. Enter these Teriyaki Burgers and oh my… you are in for a delicious meal! With the homemade teriyaki sauce mixed into the ground beef and then basted on top and bottom during grilling, they are just so flavorful and delicious! Add some pineapple rings and all of your favorite toppings on top, place it on your favorite bun, and you have the most scrumptious meal! So, heat up the grill and try this recipe out as soon as possible!

Ingredients
- Ground beef (90/10)
- Soy sauce
- Swerve sugar substitute
- Fresh grated ginger
- Minced garlic
- Pineapple slices in 100% juice
- Salt and pepper to taste

Teriyaki Burgers
Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef, 90/10
- 3/4 cup soy sauce
- 3/4 cup Swerve sugar substitute
- 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 12 pineapple slices in 100% juice, 2 cans
- salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a small saucepan bring the soy sauce, Swerve, ginger, and garlic to a boil. Reduced heat and simmer 10-15 minutes until reduced. Remove from heat and let cool 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill to 400 degrees.
- In a mixing bowl combine ground beef, 3/4 of the teriyaki sauce, salt and pepper. Form beef mixture into 6 patties (about 6 oz each).
- Grill patties and pineapple slices about 5 minutes per side, basting with the remaining teriyaki sauce before and after flipping.
- Macros listed include 1 patty + 2 slices of grilled pineapple. Dress up with any additional toppings and bun you like.

What is the sugar equivalent? I’m not a fan of sugar substitutes…
Hi Margaret! You can of course use regular sugar. I would just do a 1:1 ratio.
