Lemon Pepper Chicken Skewers are skewers loaded with pieces of  chicken grilled and brushed with a lemon butter sauce.

Supplies Used

Wireless Meat Thermometer– Use a meat thermometer for best results when cooking meat. Every air fryer is a little different and you want to be sure your chicken is heated to 165 degrees. I keep this one in my drawer by the air fryer.

Lemon Pepper Chicken Skewers

For the Chicken:

  • 2 pounds chicken thighs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

For the Lemon Butter Sauce:

  • 1.5 tablespoons butter, slightly melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar


  • In a small mixing bowl combine all the spices for the chicken.
  • Cut chicken thighs into 1″ cubes and coat with the spices. Load 6, 6 inch skewers with about 5 ounces of chicken each.
  • Place in the air fry 12 minutes at 400 degrees.
  • Mix butter sauce ingredients in a small mixing bowl. When chicken skewers are done coat them generously with the butter sauce. Serve immediately.


Don’t forget to soak your skewers before loading them with the chicken! I had to trim mine down to fit in the air fryer.
