There are so many great options for keeping kids active in Las Vegas! I remember when I used to travel as a young girl. People’s jaws would drop when I’d say I was born and raised in Las Vegas. I have heard it all from, “Do they teach you to play slot machines in your cafeterias?” to “Do you live in a hotel?”
The truth is I really love living here. Can’t beat the weather in the spring. We can drive to the snow or the beach in the matter of a few hours, and I’ve found it a place to connect with so many other families.
This week Stay Fit Mom brought you the Healthy Mom, Healthy Family Series. We wanted to share the resources, recipes, and activities that have worked for our kiddos. We’ve partnered with businesses in the Las Vegas community that we think are doing great things to help keep kids healthy and active.
BounceU and FlipNout are both family friendly facilities that host birthday parties and provide your kiddos with ample opportunity to JUMP that energy right out! My kids always leave these places wiped out. They take their best naps after just an hour or so of jumping. It really is fun for the whole family.
CrossFit Apollo and CrossFit Social City are two local gym right here in Vegas that offer CrossFit Kids classes. There is nothing cuter than seeing a 2nd grader do burpees. CrossFit Kids help children to develop a love an appreciation for fitness at an early age. The skills that children develop in CrossFit Kids can transfer into so many different aspects of their life. Team building, listening skills, and body control are just some of the few things that CrossFit Kids programs help to develop in children. If you’ve ever been curious about CrossFit, we hope you give these gyms a try!
Pointe of Grace Dance Center is another great place to expose your little ones to health and fitness. They offer a wide range of classes, camps, and private instruction. Dance not only provides kids an outlet to get their energy out, but also helps to develop coordination. I just can’t get enough of these little cuties in their red outfits! Precious. Both girls and boys 18 months and older are welcome at to their studio. Check out more details on their webpage here.
I really can’t say enough food things about Victory Martial Arts. At Victory they not only encourage kids to excel at Victory but they promote excellent behavior at home and at school. Here’s a testimonial from a parent,
“My main concern was the discipline in my child’s life. He was a bit hyper before attending Victory Martial Arts and had a hard time following instructions. Since we’ve been coming to the school, he has made a huge improvement in his behavior and he’s really enjoying himself!”
I had the opportunity to personally work with Victory Martial Arts when they came to our MOPS group to give us a Self-defense demonstration. We were blown away. They gave extremely helpful information and we had the best time. They seem to have mastered the best way to control a large group and still make it so much fun!
If you’re a Las Vegas local, we hope you take the time to check out these great businesses that continue to make Las Vegas a family friendly city.
