Hormonal Imbalances and Fat Loss

One of the most frequently asked questions we get for the Stay Fit Mom nutrition program is…

“Will your program work for me if I have thyroid issues?”

Signs you may be experiencing Thyroid issues:

  • Unexplained Weight Gain
  • Fatigue
  • Brain Fog
  • Depression/mood swings
  • Enlarged Thyroid
  • Irregular Bowel movements

Our hormones impact our metabolism and that’s a fact.  BUT that fact does NOT give you permission to throw in the towel on your dreams of a smaller waistline.

How to battle hormone imbalances and fat loss.

If you think you may be experiencing thyroid issues, make an appointment with an Endocrinologist, and take these PROACTIVE steps to promote a healthy hormone profile and boost your metabolism.

  1. Eat a macro balanced diet.  Your body needs protein, carbs, and fats in the right quantities to get your body to burn through fat.  Read more about that HERE.
  2. Get REST.  While we like to say monitoring your nutrition is the most impactful thing you can do for your fat loss, sleep is number two on that list.  Listen to THIS short video explanation for our recommendations.

While your progress might be slower, you can still take serious strides towards your goals.  Read Krista’s story about her battle with Hypothyroidism HERE.  Ready about how Coach Cassie is Conquering Hashimoto’s disease HERE. Two of the Stay Fit Mom Coaches on Staff have Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. You can read Coach Cassie and Coach Lindsay’s bios HERE.

Bottom line.  Don’t let a hormone imbalance diagnosis put limitations on what you’re capable of.  The hard work you put in today WILL pay off tomorrow.  It might seem slower than anybody else around you, but it sure beats standing still, and the sense of accomplishment is all the sweeter.
