Learn how to track macros on a gluten-free diet with simple swaps, meal prep tips, and Stay Fit Mom’s favorite gluten-free products.

You’re Not Alone in Your Gluten-Free + Macro Journey
We have many clients who successfully navigate macros around dietary needs, and gluten is one of our big ones! It can feel intimidating if you’re new to macros to not only be trying to figure out what to eat, but also work those foods and meals around allergies and sensitivities.
First of all- know that you are not alone! Not only do we have clients who have rocked the gluten-free life and seen success, but we have coaches who have done so as well!
Start with Whole Foods First
If you are new to being gluten-free, keep in mind that the more you stick to whole foods, the easier it is to avoid gluten. It is the breads and pastas where you’ll want to find alternatives, and often sauces and condiments. Read labels like it’s your job– there are some sneaky places that gluten makes an appearance like in soy sauce, soup mixes, etc!
Simple Gluten-Free Carb Swaps
For your starchy carbs, rather than getting too bogged down sourcing gf breads and pastas, turn to sweet potatoes, rice, and potatoes. These things are so easy to batch-prep ahead a week at a time and keep in your fridge!
Don’t Sweat the Macros on the Small Swaps
Don’t get hung up on the precise macros when you swap in a gluten-free option for a recipe– the macros are usually really close, and you’ll needlessly drive yourself crazy trying to recreate recipes to adjust for them. It all balances out in the end!

If there was ever a time to be gluten-free, this is it! You can find a gluten-free option for just about any item these days! We also offer a Gluten-free Cookbook that will boost your confidence if you’re new to swapping ingredients for gluten-free options.

The Key: Consistency Over Perfection
The key takeaway for blending a gluten-free lifestyle with macro nutrition is this: just like with everything else– when it comes to making those gluten-free swaps with your nutrition, consistency is key! We aren’t striving for perfection, but for consistency, because that’s where the payoff lies for progress!
