Ingredients
- Bananas
- Nut butter
- Ghirardelli milk chocolate melting wafers (any candy dipping chocolate)
- Salt
Variations to Try
- Use dark chocolate or sugar-free chocolate chips for a lower sugar version.
- Swap the nut butter for sunflower seed butter to make them allergy-friendly.
- Add crunch with crushed nuts or granola sprinkled on top before freezing.
- Try mini versions with banana coins cut even smaller for bite-sized party trays.
- Add a dab of jam under the nut butter for a peanut butter & jelly twist!

Instructions
- Slice the Bananas–Line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Slice your bananas into about 29 even slices, each around ¼” thick.
- Add the Nut Butter–Place a small dollop of nut butter (about ¼ teaspoon) on top of each banana slice.
- Freeze–Place the banana slices in the freezer uncovered for 20–30 minutes to firm up.
- Melt the Chocolate–Melt your chocolate according to package instructions. A small glass measuring cup works well for dipping — it’s deep enough to fully submerge each bite.
- Dip and Top–Use a toothpick or spoon to dip each frozen banana slice into the melted chocolate. Gently swirl and tap off any excess, then place it back onto the sheet pan. Immediately sprinkle with a pinch of flaky salt before the chocolate sets.
- Final Freeze–Freeze the finished bites for at least 2 hours. Once frozen solid, transfer to an airtight bag or container and store in the freezer.

Serving Ideas
- Enjoy one (or two!) as a sweet after-dinner treat.
- Pair with a cup of iced coffee or tea on a hot summer day.
- Serve on a frozen dessert tray with other macro-friendly treats.
- Add to a charcuterie-style fruit and snack board for your next BBQ.
How to Store
- Freeze in an airtight container or zip-top bag for up to one month.
- No need to thaw — they’re best enjoyed straight from the freezer!

Frozen Banana Bites
Equipment
Ingredients
- 2 medium bananas, 240g peel off
- 55 g natural nut butter
- 10 oz. Ghirardelli milk chocolate melting wafers, any candy dipping chocolate
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
Instructions
- Place bananas on a parchment lined sheet pan. Slice into about 29, 1/4″ pieces.
- Lay flat and put a small dollop of nut butter on the top of each one. About 1/4 teaspoon per banana slice.
- Place in freezer uncovered for 20-30 minutes.
- Melt chocolate using instructions on the back of your chocolates. I like to do mine in the microwave, in a glass measuring cup. You don’t want to use anything too big because you’ll need to be able to fully submerge the banana slices.
- Using a toothpick or spoon, submerge each frozen slice into the chocolate. Twirl and shake the excess chocolate off before setting back on the sheet pan. Top with a pinch of salt immediately, before the chocolate sets.
- Place bites back in the freezer for 2 hours before eating or storing in an air tight bag.
