Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to mean just chocolates and dinner reservations. Around here, we believe couples that sweat together… stay together. 💪❤️
If you’re looking for a fun, simple partner workout to do with your spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, or gym bestie, this one is perfect. It’s a “you go, I go” style workout that keeps one partner moving while the other works through strength and core — then you switch. No standing around, no complicated transitions, just good old-fashioned teamwork (with a little friendly competition built in).
Yes, you want to build strength when you’re working out, but also let’s not forget about cardio all together. The magic happens when we do both. Find all of our minimal equipment workouts here.

Workout Description
At the start of the timer, Partner A heads out for a 400-meter run.
At the same time, Partner B begins their strength work:
Once Partner B completes both movements, they rest for the remainder of the time until Partner A returns from the run.
As soon as Partner A finishes the 400 meters, partners switch roles.
Continue alternating in this “you go, I go” format until each partner has completed the full sequence for a total of 5 rounds.
The goal is steady effort on the run and controlled, quality reps on the curls and candlesticks. Communicate, cheer each other on, and keep the transitions quick to maintain intensity throughout the workout.
