Mocktails that Won’t Stall Your Progress

Summer time is a tough time to abstain from all of the fun social drinks!!

Why Mocktails? Because Goals.

Sometimes though, we have goals that make it worth skipping the booze in favor of something that doesn’t stall progress. Choose your yolo- maybe once or twice you enjoy that beer or margarita, but opting in favor of non-alcoholic beverages more often that not will keep you on track towards your goals, while still giving you something besides water to sip on at gatherings!!!

Don’t Overthink It—Google Your Favorites

There are so many fun options out there for mocktails! Do a quick google search of your favorite alcoholic bevy and add “non-alcoholic” and you’ll find some great choices!

Even if you aren’t a big drinker, it can still be fun to mix in some variety and refreshing drinks in the summertime!

Start With a Solid Base

Having a good base for whatever you’re adding flavor to is key! My personal favorite will always be Topo Chico! Sprite zero, diet gingerale, and club soda are other solid choices depending on what you’re making.

Juice It Up (Without the Sugar Crash)

Diet or no-sugar-added juices are a winning combination with your seltzer/carbonated base. Cran-pineapple is a delicious and refreshing blend when the temps are rising!

Add Some Flavor Flair

Get creative with your flavor add-ins. Sugar free syrups are always fun to keep on hand, and work well for both iced coffee drinks and mocktail combinations. I usually keep a few basics around all year- vanilla, salted caramel, raspberry, and coconut are some of my favorites!

Fresh Fruit & Herbs = Instant Upgrade

Fresh fruit and herbs can give you a lot of pep in a drink. There is nothing like some fresh-squeezed citrus and mint to make a drink extra special! Grab a mint plant at the garden shop and plant it near your backdoor so you have fresh mint for drinks all summer and beyond! Mint grows like wildfire so plant it somewhere you don’t mind it spreading!

Don’t Forget the Fun Touches

And of course, fancy umbrellas and maraschino cherries add the extra little fancy touch to your home mocktail concoctions….watch out, because your kids are going to be asking for mocktails of their own when they see your pretty drinks!
