Confident, Strong, and 57 Pounds Down: Jessica’s Story

We’re so excited to introduce you to this month’s inspiring client spotlight! Meet a strong, determined mom from Montana who decided it was time to take back control of her health. As a busy dental hygienist program manager and mom to an energetic toddler, she knows what it means to juggle a demanding schedule. After years of following Stay Fit Mom from afar, a moment of reflection in the mirror became the turning point in her journey. What followed was nearly 60 pounds lost, countless inches shed, and a transformation that goes far beyond the scale. Her story is one of resilience, self-discovery, and proof that it is possible to feel your best—even in the busiest seasons of life.
Tell us a little bit about your story. Work? family?
Jessica: I am a dental hygienist program manager for a FQHC in Montana. I am a mom to an almost 3 year old girl who is the greatest thing in the world. Come from a big family who do a lot together on the weekends. I love to travel and have lived a few places, despite living in Montana I am wholeheartedly a city girl.

How did you find Stay Fit Mom and what made you decide to take the leap?
Jessica: I found Krista on Instagram YEARS ago, loved all of her meal prep recipes. I was very casually meal prepping lunches but not tracking. I looked in the mirror one day and didn’t even recognize myself anymore. I was lost in motherhood, working too much and becoming a single mom.

Your transformation is incredible! Tell us how much weight/inches you’ve lost. What changes have you made that have enabled you to be so successful?
Jessica: I have lost about 44 inches and 57.5 lbs. Writing that down feels surreal. I completely changed my lifestyle, I prioritized my macros first and over the last 9+ months I have learned how to incorporate the nights out with girlfriends, the comfort meals, the occasional dessert. After 3 months of prioritizing my eating habits, I added in working out-strictly through the Peloton app. I am on a 201 day streak currently and feel the best I have ever felt.

How has learning to macro count shifted your thinking about “dieting?”
Jessica: Macro counting has been the most sustainable “diet” I have ever done. I can truly say it’s easy for me, it’s just apart of my day now. After a month or so it becomes easy and you learn what to add to get you to those green days!
Besides shedding pounds and inches, what are some Non-Scale Victories that you’ve experienced?
Jessica: I got pictures with my daughter and LOVED them, which I could never say that before. My confidence is through the roof, I even received a promotion at work and I feel like good things come to us when we are feeling our best. My mental health is significantly stronger knowing I can do hard things, make changes and be able to still live my life in a way that I love–because who doesn’t love good food and enjoying a nice drink on a vacation?

What’s your most used, favorite SFM recipe?
Jessica: Buffalo chicken bakes are my go to because they are so EASY, delicious, and that protein count!

Tell us about your experience working with Coach Heather specifically.
Jessica: Heather has been nothing but supportive, guiding me when I needed it. But mainly she’s been my accountability buddy and I am so grateful for her over the last 9 months. I have trusted her to adjust my macros when needed (even increasing them) and have loved to watch the changes.
