Beginners Tabata Workout

No one was born with a six pack.  Everyone who has a nice physique started somewhere, most likely very modestly.  I try to keep this in mind as I sit here 4 weeks postpartum with 40+ pounds to lose.  This is MY beginning.  No I don’t need to have a six pack or be supermodel skinny, but I want to be confident again and healthy.  Here is how I see it- The time is going to pass anyway, so why not take advantage and picture myself a little more fit, with more energy, and a smile on my face 3 months from now.  All it takes is a change of heart, determination for self-improvement, and a little will power.  Whatever your beginning is, lets start now and not look back!  This week’s Beginners Workout is for you!  If you’re like me and you want to exercise without any worries of leaking postpartum, try using the new Depend® Silhouette® Active Fit*.

Each round is 20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest {Repeat each round 8 times before moving on to the next}

Round 1: Dumbell Deadlifts

Round 2: Plank Leg Lifts

Round 3: Step-Ups

Round 4: Seated Dumbbell Presses

Round 5: Squats

Round 6: Upright RowsThis looks like a workout I can do!

Equipment Needed:

  • Keep track of your time using a watch or a Timer.  (We frequently use the MYWOD app and recommend it to our readers.  You can keep track of your workouts, they’ve got How To videos, and of course the app has great timers.)
  • Bench or Box to sit on
  • Dumbells or anything heavy
