Happy Thursday! Today I’m coming at you with our favorite Beef & Broccoli recipe. Sometimes Chinese food just sounds so good, but going out to eat isn’t always an option. With this recipe, you can have the flavors you love made right at home and have your dinner be healthier and more macro friendly, too! This is also an easy recipe and comes together really quickly so you won’t be spending a ton of time to make a delicious dinner! My family loves when I make this for dinner and I know yours will too!

Ingredients
- Flank steak
- Raw broccoli
- Bone broth (or water)
- Soy sauce
- Cornstarch
- Minced garlic
- Brown sugar
- Ground ginger
- Red pepper flakes
- Sesame seeds
Substitutions
You can also make this into an easy Chicken & Broccoli recipe, by substituting the flank steak for thinly sliced chicken breast!
STORING INSTRUCTIONS
Any leftover Beef & Broccoli can be stored in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 5 days. It’s also a great meal to pack with some rice or noodles to take to lunch or on the go.
REHEATING INSTRUCTIONS
Your Beef & Broccoli leftovers can be reheated for 2-3 minutes in the microwave for a quick meal sometime in the week!

Beef & Broccoli
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds flank steak, sliced
- 20 ounces raw broccoli
- 1 cup bone broth, or water
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together bone broth, soy sauce, cornstarch, garlic, brown sugar, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
- Steam or microwave your broccoli to soften it a little bit. (I prefer mine a little more cooked, but cook it how you like it.)
- In a large skillet over medium high heat cook the beef. It only takes 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the soy sauce mixture and simmer until slightly thickened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the broccoli, and serve with sesame seeds sprinkled on top.
Notes
- Rice not included in the recipe or macro count, so you can serve this dish over anything you like.
